Dowel Bar (Road & Slab Dowel)
Dowel Bar (Road & Slab Dowel) is a load-transfer bar placed across joints in concrete slabs: factory floors, yards and concrete pavements. It helps adjacent slabs share load and reduces differential settlement at the joint.
We supply both smooth round bars (RB) and deformed bars (DB). Standard length is 50 cm; other lengths are cut to order.
- Smooth round bar (RB): for joints where slabs must slide lengthwise (dowel).
- Deformed bar (DB12, DB16): used as tie bars that hold slabs together at the joint.
- Bar type and size depend on slab thickness and the design. Please consult your design engineer before ordering.
